JP Academic Services was founded by Julia Palmer in 2010 to be a provider of transcription and proofreading services to the academic community. 
The aim is to provide a professional service which prioritises accuracy, efficiency and confidentiality.  The fulfillment of this aim is demonstrated in the fact that many clients return to JP Academic Services again and again, and also r
ecommend the service to their colleagues.

Julia Palmer has an academic background with the following qualifications:
  • MPhil in Applied Social Science (Distinction; 2009);
  • MA in Library and Information Management (Pass; 2006);
  • BA in English Literature (First Class Honours; 2005).
In addition, she has experience as a research assistant and in 2007 she was an editorial assistant for Child & Family Social Work.  As a result of this background, Julia is familiar with the research process from design, to data collection, to data analysis and presentation of the results.  Julia has experience in conducting interviews and focus groups, carrying out surveys, and undertaking observational research.  She has participated in training workshops regarding research ethics, and understands the importance of confidential work practices.​  She has over 7 years' experience in transcription and proofreading.​
